TOK-It's Official I am a Girl

It's Official I am a girl!! The Vet says I am between 6 months and 3 years old!! I am healthy and passed all the tests with flying colors. I weigh 7 pounds and 4 and 1/2 ounces! I got shots and poked and now I am tired! The vet people were very nice except for the temperature test and the shots!! They can't tell if I have been spaded, so Mom has to see if I go in heat! So I am an indoor kitty now!! So now I just need a good Orange Kitty name!! Any suggestions? Your friend, TOK

We are looking forward to your name lovely girl! The Male always liked "Soiling Demon" but the Woman says that is an inauspicious name...

So great to hear you are a healthy indoor kitteh! Our mom's mom had a cat show up and she took it to the vet to get spade. Well...turns out the kitty had already been spade, but they didn't find out until she was in surgery.

We like the name Buffy :)

Hi Beautiful TOK!!!!! You looks like you could be a sisfur of ME!!!! ME likes the name Sally! - Billy

I never would have guessed you were an orange-y girl! I like the name Tang. It's what the astronauts drank up in space! And it is orange.

Our mom bean likes flower names for girl-cats, so let's see what we can think of....

Marigold, Tiger Lily, Sunflower...

Then there's spices - Cinnamon or Saffron

Hmm, we can't think of anyfing else.

We're glad you fownd a new home!

Lots of hugs & purrs,
Your orange cousins Buddy & Jasmine

Our first thought for a name was Marmalade.....Marmie for short, if you found the name too long.

We are so happy you got a clean bill of health and are looking forward to getting to know you.

My human is usually terrible at naming kitties (I lucked out with my name!). At first she suggested "Door Hinge," because it's the only thing that rhymes with "orange"! I did not find this funny, so instead she suggested Julie, after her favorite drink when she was a kid - Orange Julius. Actually that is not such a bad name! I like Daisy's suggestion too - Tang has a lot of personality.

We had a feeling you were a girl! You remind us of our mom's kitty growing up - Putter - she was a girl too.

We like the suggestion of Marigold - we think it is a very cute and unusual name. Tang is cute but could be taken the wrong way (sorry, I work with warehouse guys all day so my mind went to the bad place, and that is why I mentioned it, in case someone else's did too).

No mater what we are happy that you are healthy and have a wonderful indoor home now!

Well, we're surprised that you are a girl...mainly because orange kitties are usually boys...and Wally thinks all orange kitties are boys...

Aren't you glad that vet visit is over now?? And we can't wait to hear what your new name is.

We likes the name Ginger.

We have been watching Gilligan Island Reruns and Ginger was very pretty, and we loved her clothes.

We has a new kitty too. Her name is Artemisia and we are calling her Artemis for short. That way Mommy got to name her after a flower and youngest boy bean got to name her after the Greek Goddess for hunting. A,F,S, & S

It took the publicist a while to name her orange kitty but ended up with Sherpa 'cause he likes to climb. The publicist mostly.

I like Daisy's idea.

We had a wonderful kitty who showed up at our house at Christmas 3 years ago...she was a love, but really ill and had to go to the Bridge far too soon. We named her Noelle and we think that's a fine name for a girl kitty who showed up for the holidays.

We are not very creative with names, but we like Sassy :)

Wow. We thought sure you were a boy, like Toby here. He's also an orange! But we're very happy that you passed all the tests. May we also say that we think you showed up at the right home? :)

We actually like Tok as a name, pronounced tock. But if you wanted something more girly... Lily? or Lady Marmalade?

I had rescued a male tabby that looked just like you and named him Ollie, so I'm leaning towards Olivia... glad to find out you're all ok!

For some reason, I was having problems posting my comment yesterday. I was wrong, I admit it -- TOK is a girl!!! Surprise! She's so pretty with her orange eyes to match her fur.

I had the thought that "Clementine" might be a nice name (clementines are small oranges, after all)!
