We've tried to do that too, but our mom always catches us! Moms just have no idea how flexible we cats really are, do they? We are also glad that she took the drawer out to have a look at you rather than pushing it in and squishing you.
That's so funny ! I once found Arthur in the drawer which is part of our sofa I don't know how he got in there he must have climbed through the fabric ! Cats !!!

That is a very good hiding place. My favorite hiding place was under a dresser. Karen couldn't get to me there, but then she pulled out the drawer too and I was fully exposed! I don't hide anymore. That was when I first came into the house but now I follow her all around.
So she pulled the drawer out and there I was!! Mom can't a girl have a little privacy!

Cinza likes to open the drawer underneath the bed. Most times she doesn't go inside; she just likes to enjoy her options.

I never would have thought to look behind the drawer. It took me a long time to find her tail in the first picture!
How in the world did she get behind there!? That had to have taken some wiggling and shimmying.
that is totally something my cats would do. it took me a while to find her tail in the first picture as well.
