Photo Hunters #64 - Sweet
These two pictures represent SWEET to us, because, Mom's grandbabybean always wanted to play with Ariel, but she would have nothing to do with her. These pictures were taken the last week of Ariel's life in October of 2005 and she let CR pet her and kiss her. Mom's eyes leak every time she sees these pictures. Her pet name for her was Sweet Ariel!!

Thirteen CAT QUOTES!!!!
1. Cats are absolute individuals, with their own ideas about everything, including the people they own. John Dingman
2. It is, of course, totally pointless to call a cat when it is intent on the chase. They are deaf to the interruptive nonsense of humans. They are on cat business, totally serious and involved. John D. MacDonald
3. A cat is more intelligent than people believe, and can be taught any crime. Mark Twain
4. Cats are smarter then dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled. Jeff Valdez
5. I've met many thinkers and many cats, but the wisdom of cats is infinitely superior. Hippolyte Taine
6. Anyone who has ever known a cat really feels that this cat is superior to most Harvard professors in brain power. Gladys Tabor
7. No matter how much cats fight, there always seem to be plenty of kittens. Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865. He kept four cats in the White House)
8. The cat has nine lives: three for playing, three for straying, three for staying.
English Proverb.
9. If man could be crossed with a cat, it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat. Mark Twain
10. A cat shows more of its breeding through its eyes than it does through any other feature. Louis Wain, 19th Century
11. Cats seem to go on the principle that it never does any harm to ask for what you want. Joseph Wood Krutch (1893-1970)
12. I suspect that many an ailurophobe hates cats only because he feels that are better people than he is-more honest, more secure, more loved, more whatever he is not. Winifred Carriere, Twentieth Century American writer
13. There is nothing in the animal world, to my mind, more delightful than grown cats at play. They are so swift, and light and graceful, so subtle and designing, and yet so richly comic. Monica Edwards

Secret Paws Friday for Tigger
Mom! Mom! Mom!
What's this?
It's addressed to me.
Sure does smell good!
Open it up! Open it up, Please!
Nip!!! I knew I smelled nip!
Temptations! Hey, I hear everyone
talking about these.
They were great, I'm gonna have Mom
get more.
This is great!
Furry mice, grass to grow and eat,
a squiggle, just for me.
A black & white string to chase.
This was before I made Mom
tear open all the great toys!!
Wonderful nip!
Mom had to put in away.
I tried to rip the bag open
Thank you Munchkin!!!

Thursday Thirteen # 8
1. Procrastinate don't do the errand you know you need too, but just meander around the house and do what strikes your fancy. We spend to much of our day on a schedule. 2. Take a long hot bath, in the middle of the day. Light your favorite candle scent. Put lots of bubbles in the water and forget about all the other stuff you need to do and relax. 3. Take a walk, on the beach, near a pond, around the block. Just meander, don't have a plan, do what comes to mind and enjoy. Walking makes you feel happy and gives you energy to finish whatever it was you were doing before the walk. 4. Whistle!! "You know how to whistle, don't you?" said Bacall to Bogart. "Just purse your lips and blow." You can't help, but to smile, now can you? 5. Lounge!! What's that you say? After you get home from work and before you start the next big thing, kick off your shoes, put on some comfy clothes. Then find a spot to lay down, a couch, the floor with some pillows, a lounging chair. Close your eyes and just breath, big deep breaths, then just imagine you are at your favorite spot. Take five minutes or longer and relax. Then get up and make dinner. 6. Yawn, just the word triggers one. And once you see it, you do it. So when weariness sets in- yawn, it's like a total yoga body stretch. 7. Take a nap. Just a 10 minute nap can revitalize you and help you finish what you thought you were to tired to. 8. Taste your food, your cup of tea or coffee, a chocolate bar, a piece of fruit. Savor it, inhale the smell deeply, eat or sip it slowly. We spend way too much time eating on the run, in the car and standing up. 9. Listen, don't talk, just listen. To the birds, to the purring cat, to the ocean waves, to the sound of total silence. 10. Turn off the TV. Life is not lived and concluded in a hour. All the news and crime dramas is jarring to the mind. 11. Put on your favorite music, turn it up real loud and dance around the room. It doesn't even have to look like dancing. Jump up and down, twist, do whatever comes to you. 12. Pick a song that you think represents who you are and whenever life gets tough or dull or sad or lonely SING IT OUT LOUD if you can and in your head if you can't. (Update: Mom's song is 30,000 Pounds of Bananas, by Harry Chapin) 13. And finally laugh. Laughter is the best medicine and science has proved that it heals. Watch a favorite funny movie, listen to your favorite comic. Aren't somewhere you can do that, then just start laughing, start small, hee hee, then giggle, then look at yourself in the mirror and just let loose. Haven't you ever laughed so hard, you cried, or rolled on the floor. Laugh and the world laughs with you. |

Tuxie Tuesday
I love sitting in the grass. Here I am hiding from Tigger. For all of you who commented on my food container, Mom said she got it at Wal-Mart. She also got an auto water feeder for us when we are outside, so we always have plenty of water to drink.
Now it's my turn for True Kitty Confessions that our friend Marilyn MomROEW started.
1. I like to put the bitey on Mom when we are playing. Especially when I jump on her ankles when we are playing hide and seek.
2. I get wet in the rain on purpose, so when I come in Mom has to dry me off.
3. I'm an attention addict. I have to have all the attention from Mom and Dad or I make my pitiful mewling sound until they give it to me.
4. I'm scared of the grandbaby bean when she comes to visit. She is always wanting to pet and play with me, but I always hide from her.
5. I love my Mom, but I am a Daddy's girl. He works all the time, so when he comes home I stay by him and purr while he relaxes.
6. I am a brat to Tigger, he wants to play nice and I hiss at him.
7. I don't share. Mom has to buy two of everything.
Now I feel much better, I hope you still like me. Samantha

Mancat Monday & True Kitty Confessions
I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy 7th Birthday on Friday and for Man Cat Monday I'm going to do my True Kitty Confessions started by my friend Marilyn MonROEW
1. I act like I don't want to be held or petted to be a real Man Cat, but I'm a softee inside and crave that.
2. I'm jealous of all the attention Samantha gets.
3. I leave Mom food regurgitated presents to show her how much I love her, but I don't think she appreciates them.
4. I sleep on top of Mom's car, even though I'm not suppose to.
5. When I am outside, I stay close to home and don't wander, but when Mom calls I don't come so she will worry about me.
6. I like to eat off Mom's plate, while she is eating.
7. When I want something I will meow and meow and meow and meow until I get it. It drives Mom crazy.
